Pizza Soup

½ lb Ground Beef

½ lb Sausage

½ Cup Onions

4 Cups Water

2 – 15oz cans of Tomato Sauce

1 – 15oz can of Diced Tomatoes

 

Italian Herb blend:

1 tsp Oregano

1 tsp Basil

½ tsp Parsley

½ tsp Thyme

½ tsp Rosemary

 

½  Cup  Mushrooms – Sliced

½ Cup Pepperonis

Shredded Mozzarella Cheese

(any other pizza toppings you would like)

 

Brown Ground Beef and Sausage with the onions in a frying pan. Drain off fat – I drain mine with a few paper towels on a plate.

In soup pot add meat and onions to water, tomato sauce, diced tomatoes, Italian herbs, mushrooms, pepperonis and any other pizza toppings you’d like. Bring to a boil and simmer together for about 20 to 30 minutes. Stir often.

Garnish with Mozzarella Cheese. I like to eat this with bread sticks or garlic bread.
